Seems like all I can see was a struggle. Haunted by ghosts that lived in my past. Bound up in shackles of all my failures. Wondering how long is this gonna last. Then You look at this prisoner and say to me "son, stop fighting a fight that's already been won."

I am redeemed. You set me free. So I'll shake off these heavy chains and wipe away every stain. Now I'm not who I used to be. I am redeemed.
What beautiful lyrics. If I were pulled over because I was speeding, I would deserve a ticket and have to pay a fine. I’ve paid 28 tickets in my lifetime, I should know. If I continued to insult the officer, that penalty would grow. If he then found that I was also driving under the influence, I'd be thrown into jail. It's what I'd deserve.
But that's the beauty of what we Christians refer to as the “Good News.” Even though I deserve punishment for breaking the rules and not measuring up anywhere close to God’s perfect laws; Jesus stepped in and said I love Brian so much that I’ll take the punishment for him. I’ll pay his fine and suffer the penalty he deserves; all I ask is that you believe in me. Not only will I pay your fine, but you and I get to hang together for eternity.
STOP believing the lies we tell ourselves about being unworthy. THINK about what it means to have someone pay your penalty. SAVE this in your heart and know that your life has been (or can be) remade and your slate wiped cleaned. Jesus’ redemption has made us completely, totally and abundantly free.
I hope while wearing this SaltTee shirt that you are asked "what does that mean?" God has not redeemed you to dwell in a bubble; He has redeemed you to spread His love and the good news. Stop fighting the fight that has already been won, you've been redeemed.
