SaltTee Volunteers
SaltTee was built and is run completely by volunteers. We are actively seeking new volunteers. Graphic design, blogging, marketing, sharing or liking a post on Facebook, taking shirts to the post office. If you have any talents, yes I mean ANY... please contact us and let us know that you'd like to be involved. We'll find you a spot.
Brian & Karen Culbertson
Duties include: T-shirt design, marketing, ordering, delivery, shipping, billing, accounting, blog writing and toliet cleaning.
Located: Beautiful Southwest Florida where the sun shines and the snow birds reside....at least part of the year.
Day Job: Insurance Agents at Culbertson Allstate Agency and slaves to our kids.
Kids: 3 girls. We're already bribing them to skip the wedding and just elope ... that is when we aren't bribing them not to pick their noses.
Dogs: 105 pound gentle giant of a chocolate lab named Hershey who enjoys the occasional belly rub and butt sniff.
From: Small town Indiana. Trust me ... you have never heard of where we are came from (go Hoosiers).
School: University of Evansville. Brian majored in Pre-med until organic chemistry kicked him around. He decided business might be a better calling. Karen majored in Interpersonal Communication, so go ahead.....tell her your life story, you know you want to.
Current Ministry Involvement: We host a small group at our home monthly of 30 and 40 something’s (although the age is pretty liberal, so why don't you join us). We attend and sometimes teach a class of young adults on Sunday mornings. I think they really invited us to be the chaperones, but they are too nice to tell us that we really don't fit the demographic. We participate in a Monday night homeless dinner every couple of months at our church to remind us even the Savior of the world didn't have a place to lay his head. We assist in a car care ministry through our church that provides basic car maintenance to widows and single moms. We volunteer with the children and youth ministry at our church, although that really just scoping out who our kids hang out with and trying to keep up on how to be "cool".
Ultimately our love is missions to Hato Del Yaque in the Dominican Republic and the beautiful people there. They remind us God is our ultimate blessing and not all the stuff we try to collect in America. They help remind us not to get too comfortable in this life, to love others, to strive for a backwards life, to feed those that are hungry, to treat others how we want to be treated, to be awesome and to never look back at our old life because we have been REDEEMED!
